Do I need funds to open a position with X5pro?
To open a position with X5pro you will need a specific amount of money called a margin requirement that will be set aside when you execute the trade.

What is the process to close a trade with X5pro?
In order to close a trade, click ‘Close’ on our trading platform. Your trade will be closed immediately.
What fees and/or commission does X5pro charge on opening trades?
X5pro is a zero-commission brokerage which means there is no commission on either opening or closing positions. However, X5pro can charge a fee for specific services such as the ‘spread’ on every opened position, the ‘swap’ for keeping a position open overnight, and the ‘rollover’ for the continuation of specific asset contracts.
Terminology
What is ‘free margin’?
In CFD trading, free margin is the capital not allocated in open trades, currently available to open new positions with and serve as a financial buffer against market volatility.
What does 'pip' mean?
In CFD trading, a pip is the smallest amount by which an asset’s price can move. Its location is determined by the asset class traded. For example, in currency pairs, it’s typically the fourth digit after the decimal of the exchange rate whilst in stocks, it’s the second.
What does 'lot' mean?
What does ‘lot’ mean?
A lot is a standard measurement unit of trading size. One standard lot is represented as 1, whilst a mini lot is 0.1 and one micro lot is 0.01. The quantity of an asset in one lot varies. You can verify the lot value for each asset in its information tab on the platform.
What is 'leverage' in CFD trading?
Leverage in CFD trading allows you to control a larger position than your initial deposit would normally permit, increasing both potential profits and losses.
What are technical and fundamental analyses?
Technical analysis is based on past price movements and using various tools and indicators to establish patterns in order to attempt to predict future possible price movements. Fundamental analysis is based on various news, financial reports, or global trends that may affect the price of a specific instrument.

What is a 'margin call'?
A margin call is an alert that your account is running low on free margin. Accordingly, you have the opportunity to consider taking action in order to protect your investments.
What is a 'stop out'?
A stop out is an event that occurs when the margin level of the account reaches 30%. In order to release more free margin, the platform will automatically close open positions starting with the one on the largest loss.
What is a 'spread' in CFD trading?
The spread is the difference between the buy price and the sell price of an asset and is a fee that you pay for placing a trade on the market.
What is a 'limit order'?
A limit order allows you to specify the maximum or minimum price at which you are willing to buy or sell an asset.
What is a 'stop-loss order'?
A stop-loss order triggers automatically at a predetermined price level set upon opening the trade in order to prevent further losses.
What is a 'take-profit order'?
A take-profit order triggers automatically at a predetermined price level set upon opening the trade in order to collect current profits from an open position.
What is 'copy trading' or 'social trading'?
Copy trading, also known as social trading (Cooma), is a simplified method of trading where you copy the activity of a trader whose performance is what you would like to replicate within your account. Simply select the trading profile you want to copy and set it up to copy trades. Every action taken by the copied trading profile will be executed on your account.
What is a 'bid' (sell) price and an 'ask' (buy) price?
• Bid Price: The price at which you can sell the asset. It’s the highest price that buyers are willing to pay for the asset at that current moment.
• Ask Price: The price at which you can buy the asset. It’s the lowest price that sellers are willing to accept for the asset at that current moment.
Take note: The bid price will almost always be lower than the ask price.
How do I calculate my balance with open trades?
This represents the equity of the account and can be expressed as:
